NIGM Secures Two Major Offshore Projects Across Upper and Lower Zakum
New awards strengthen NIGM’s position in large-scale TCF construction, specialized building delivery and offshore engineering.
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 12 August 2026: NIGM has secured two major projects across Upper Zakum and Lower Zakum, further strengthening its position in the delivery of complex offshore construction and
infrastructure projects in the UAE.
The awards build on NIGM’s growing specialization in offshore and onshore Temporary Construction
Facilities (TCF), where projects require careful planning, rapid mobilization and effective management of the significant logistical challenges associated with remote and offshore environments.
Large-Scale TCF Delivery in Upper Zakum
In Upper Zakum, NIGM will deliver the design and construction of large-scale temporary construction
facilities and supporting infrastructure across multiple offshore locations.
The project is designed to support significant workforce requirements, incorporating integrated
accommodation, operational and welfare facilities together with the supporting infrastructure required for efficient project operations.
NIGM’s wider TCF portfolio demonstrates its ability to manage and execute complex facilities supporting large workforce populations across some of the UAE’s most challenging operating environments.
The company’s delivery approach combines modern modular building systems, enhanced utility solutions and the rapid deployment of pioneer facilities, enabling essential infrastructure to be established early and supporting efficient project mobilization.
NIGM also maintains multidisciplinary in-house engineering capabilities covering civil, MEP, IT and other key disciplines. This enables greater coordination between engineering, procurement and construction while allowing teams to respond efficiently to project-specific requirements.
Specialized Engineering in Lower Zakum
The Lower Zakum award represents a specialized construction scope involving the delivery of operational and technical buildings requiring significant engineering and technical integration.
The project encompasses specialized technical facilities requiring close coordination across multiple
engineering disciplines throughout design and execution.
This integrated approach is supported by NIGM’s experienced engineering and construction teams,
bringing decades of combined experience in managing and executing complex projects across offshore and onshore environments.
Across both projects, QHSE management and workforce welfare remain integral to NIGM’s delivery
approach. Structured QHSE management, risk control, operational safety and welfare practices are
embedded throughout project execution to support safe working environments and consistent project
performance.
These latest awards reflect NIGM’s continued development as a specialist contractor capable of combining large-scale TCF construction, modular building solutions, multidisciplinary engineering and specialized technical building delivery within challenging operating environments.
From rapid pioneer facilities to complex infrastructure, NIGM continues to develop the capabilities required to support the UAE’s evolving energy sector.
