NIGM has received two HSE awards recognizing its approach to resource planning, site coverage and leadership engagement: the HSE Resource, Planning and Coverage Award and the HSE Leadership Site Visit Program Award.

The awards recognize two connected parts of NIGM’s safety approach. Effective planning helps ensure that teams have the resources, supervision and coverage they need on site. Leadership visits bring managers closer to day-to-day operations, helping them identify concerns, follow up on corrective actions and reinforce accountability.

NIGM’s contribution also formed part of a wider project achievement of 30 million safe man hours without a Lost Time Injury. That milestone was reached collectively by the project team, including NIGM and other subcontractors; the two HSE awards were presented directly to NIGM.

A new video featuring Ahmed Osama, Operations Director, and Shajahan, QHSE Manager, explores the work behind the recognition. They discuss how planning and visible leadership help teams maintain safety standards across site activities.

“Safety starts with the decisions made before work begins and continues through the attention given to every activity on site,” said Ahmed Osama. “These awards recognize the planning and commitment of our teams.”

Shajahan added: “Leadership visits give us the opportunity to listen to teams, address risks and make sure actions are followed through. Consistency is what makes those efforts count.”

The awards reflect NIGM’s continued focus on putting practical safety measures in place and maintaining them throughout project delivery.
